According to an article for Forbes.com, the CPO market has grown in popularity over the past few years and can represent a great way for drivers looking for a bargain to find the right used car.

The website notes that among the best models currently available as CPO vehicles are Honda's Accord, the Toyota 4Runner, Subaru Impreza and Lexus GS.

However, it is also suggested that not all vehicles of this type are the perfect used purchase and the site highlights the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Volkswagen Beetle and Mercedes-Benz E Class as some of the cars used car finance customers should avoid.

Micah Muzio, video road-test editor of Kelley Blue Book, told the site: "The customer gets peace of mind because the vehicle has been inspected and it's backed by an extended warranty."

CPO vehicles are enter the used market having been given a full inspection by the individual car's manufacturer, they are often refurbished where necessary and given extended warranties.
