Car loans customers advised 'look for the right dealer'

Choosing the right dealer can be an essential part of purchasing the right used car, according to one expert.

In an article for xpress4me.com, used car specialist Michael Brightmore has advised vehicle shoppers, including those with approved car finance, on the main things to consider when buying second-hand.

He notes that finding a reliable dealer that gives their vehicles thorough checks and repairs where necessary is second only to finding one that offers a suitable warranty.

"A used car business that is confident enough to underwrite its own warranties rather than sub-contract this to a third party insurance company is more likely to have thoroughly checked and reconditioned its vehicles before sale," he advised.

He added that arranging pre-purchase checks from a third party can be one way to check the vehicles history but states that buyers should not rule out cars that have been damaged in an accident as many are reconditioned to a high standard.

Earlier this week, Forbes.com recommended certified pre-owned vehicles as an option for car loans customers.
