Used car finance customers might be interested to learn that Skoda's Octavia has been awarded a prestigious accolade this week.
According to carpages.co.uk, the vehicles scooped the title of AM's Used Car of the Year ahead of some fierce competition from the likes of BMW, Honda and Mazda.
The family car was selected as a great option for used car shoppers, including those who may recently have acquired a car loan and was singled out for its overall performance and practicality as a family car.
It is also noted that the car offers great value for money and is available on the used car market for some very competitive prices.
Commenting on the accolade, Skoda's head of planning John French said the car had sold well for many years and added that the award was reflective of this long standing popularity.
"The Octavia has certainly lived up to this ambition by offering performance, comfort and value for money," he said.
In 2005 Jeremy Clarkson reviewed the car for the Times, stating that ten or 15 years down the line the car would "make an ideal grass-track racer".
