Car finance customers have been advised on looking for an online auto deal.
In an article for skynewswire.com, Chris Contessa, an automotive enthusiast and author of dealershipratings.com, states that the web has proved to be a valuable resource for car loans customers.
However, he recommends buyers to be cautious and notes that some online sources are more reliable than others.
Mr Contessa states that online auction site eBay offers things such as free buyer protection on its motoring site and ratings that go some way to prove that the private seller is reputable.
He adds: "eBay Motors provides a way for individuals to do business with one another without having to go through a physical car dealership."
He adds that online dealerships that offer research on vehicles and price guides for various models can prove to be valuable in the search for the right car.
Reuters reported earlier this month that eBay Motors had seen an increase in the number of manufacturers it deals with.
