Can you remove yourself as a co-signer from a loan agreement?

Hello, I act as a guarantor for my daughter for her new car. As she has become unreliable i wish to retract myself from the agreement. Can i do this? Hopefully i can now she has turned 18 and has a full time job. If so how do i go about this?

Hi Jo, you'd have to speak to the finance company but i'm afraid it may well be bad news. It's highly unlikely that the finance company will remove you from acting as a guarantor for your daughter. Please let me know how you get on though as i may be wrong :-)
