Hello - does your 'free credit check' leave an imprint/enquiry/any record on my credit file please?

Hello, i was thinking of using your free credit check service. I just need to know whether this leaves a footprint on my credit profile or not as it isn't that clear. Thank you in advance.

Answer.

Hi Graham, thank you for your question.

After you have completed the free credit check we will run a search on your credit profile however, the search we perform doesn't leave a footprint on your credit profile.

However, if our underwriting team think you can get approved at one of our lenders we will send you over for a decision so you will incur one credit search against your name.

I hope this helps. Please make a full application and once approved we provide a no obligation quote and you can buy a car from any dealer in the UK. Kind Regards, Edwin

Question.

Hello, i had a problem regarding a credit card when i was off work with sickness for two years but i have been paying an agreed amount since then. I am in full time employment but would like to know whether my credit record would have been affected as i need car finance?

Answer.

Hi Clive, if you missed a few payments on a credit card a few years ago then yes, unfortunately your credit record would have been affected. However, if the credit card account was the only account in which you fell behind we'll still be able to help you obtain car finance. Kind Regards, Edwin

Question.

Hi, I'm looking for advice on buying my first car.

I have saved £1000 but rather than saving for a long time I'm considering using this as a deposit for a better car. I'm not totally sure on how much I want to spend yet, £3000 - £7000 possibly!

I earn around £1200 a month and my credit score on Experian is currently sitting at 802 with no defaults. I have an overdraft off 1000 which I plan on paying off this week so my credit file should get better. What kind of interest rates do you think I could get? Thanks

Answer.

Hi Stacey, thank you for your question.

As you have a fair credit score, a decent income and large deposit i'm confident we could get you accepted for car finance. The rates i'd imagine we can get you approved for will vary between 9% and 14% but we can't guarantee anything until we have you accepted.

Please make an application and once approved we provide a no obligation quote and you can buy a car from any dealer in the UK. Kind Regards, Edwin
