20 Year old security guard looking for a loan with a guarantor

Hi Edwin!

I am 20 and don’t have much credit, but have been told I can apply with a guarantor which my Dad has volunteered for, is this ok? I work full time as a security guard so can afford payments, but can’t really put down a large upfront deposit. Do I need to pay a percentage of the amount to start? And will there be a limit on how far I can drive, or how old the car I choose is? Thanks!

Hi Leon, that is correct, we may well be able to help you with a guarantor! This will need to be somebody with good credit who has been in the UK for more than 3 years. So provided your dad has good credit, we should be able to help.

While it is not necessary to put down a deposit, some of our lenders have £149 admin fee to cover the cost of the necessary vehicle, dealer and additional checks we carry out, but this fee is not payable until you have agreed to a finance agreement with us, and is fully refundable should you choose not to go ahead with the deal. It might even be that you are not charged a fee at all, depending on the lender you are allocated to.

We do not have an age or mileage limit for cars, however if you do have a particular car in mind, it is a good idea to make a note of this on your application so we can try to find you the right lender. The same goes for the amount you drive, we have no limit but it may help us find you the right loan if you make us aware of the amount you drive when you apply.

Please make an application when you're ready and if approved we provide a no obligation quote and you can buy a car from any reputable dealer in the UK. Kind Regards, Edwin
