Finance for self-employed caterer

Hi Edwin,

I am a self-employed caterer currently making £2,000 per month. My company is growing and were getting more business every month so I think it is important to invest in a Volkswagen Caddy that I know I can rely on. I am looking at a budget of £8,000 and I would say my credit rating is good as I have made effective changes the past year or so I think I would be successful if I applied! I have just checked my credit score on Experian and it is coming up at 710!

I have only lived in the UK for 2 years, but my husband was born here. Do you think you could help me?

Thank you!

Hello Jessica,

Yes, we can help the self-employed with finance. We will need proof of income from you, but this can be in the form of bank statements from the last 3 months! We will definitely try our best, especially with a budget we can work with! Your credit score seems reasonable too, 700 is actually quite high so as long as you have no large defaults (over £5000)i'm reasonably confident we can get you accepted for car finance with one of our lenders.

The majority of our lenders do ask for applicants to have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years before they can offer an approval for car finance. We do, however, have a lender with whom this is not required, but they would instead ask for you to have a guarantor who is a UK resident so this can be your husband if he has happy to support you?

Once approved we provide a no obligation quote and you can get a car from any dealer in the UK. Please make an application when you're ready. Edwin
