I'm currently in a cccs debt plan - Can i get new car finance?

Hi Edwin, I am currently on a CCCs debt plan. I currently have a company car but i am moving to a job with a car allowance of £7000 per year.

Would i be able to get PCP or finance for a new car?

Posted by Shaun on

Answer.

Hi Shaun, thank you for using our Q&A. If you're in a CCCS debt plan, i have to be honest, the likelihood of getting approved for a new car on finance or PCP are highly unlikely. How much are you looking to finance/borrow?

You have a decent budget but if your credit history is poor we may be able to get you approved for hire purchase on a used car only but the rates will be higher than those seen on the high street.

Please make an application and once approved you can choose a car from any reputable dealer and we also provide a no obligation quote. Kind Regards, Edwin

Question.

I am on a dmp with cccs, we need a new car and have a 2001 scenic to part ex, do you think we could get finance and would it help at all if we had a guarantor?

Posted by Claire D on

Answer.

Hi Claire, yes - it would help if you had a guarantor with clean credit. If we get you approved we can also take your part ex from you as full deposit and get you into a lovely new car. The issue is that we can't guarantee anything until we've seen your credit profile. Every case is different but we have approved people in the past that have been in debt management plans and have CCCS. Please apply when you're ready and apologies for the late response. Kind Regards, Edwin

Question.

Hi there, I currently have a debt management plan in place, I also pay a car finance company and have never missed any payments to that, it finishes in December. Is there anyway I would be able to get a loan for a newer car? Thanks look forward to your reply.

Answer.

Hi Louise, as you have kept all of your current car finance payments up to date i'm confident we could secure you finance for a newer car. Please apply when you get 3 minutes and let me know your reference number. Are you employed and are you on the electoral roll? Have a good weeknd. Edwin

Question.

Hi, We have a poor credit history as we have a debt plan with the Credit Consumer Councilling Service (CCCS). We have never missed any payments or ever missed a mortgage payment. Would we ever be able to get a car on finance? Thanks for your time.

Posted by Richard M on

Answer.

Hi Richard, we can help people in CCCS plans so there is hope. Are you on the electoral roll, are you in employment and do you have any form of deposit? The good news is that you have a clean mortgage - this will definitely help. Look forward to hearing from you. Edwin

Question.

Hi, we are with "DFH" debt plan and we have a large amount of debt which we are paying back with Debt Free Helpline but we need new car. Would we get car finance?

Posted by Louise Corbett on

Answer.

Hi Louise, thank you for your question.

The good news is that we do have lenders that help people in debt plans get finance (as long as you're employed with a UK licence). We can't guarantee an approval but we'll certainly try our best.

Please make an application and once approved you can choose a car from any reputable dealer and we also provide a no obligation quote. Kind Regards, Edwin
