Approved with ACF Car Finance - Can i get a better rate?

Hi, i got divorced and had to sell my car because all of my wife's debts were in my name! She has bad credit and now i have got bad credit because of it!

I'm rebuilding my credit now though. My question to you is that i've been accepted for car finance with ACF but noticed that the APR is 44.9% so, i am asking if your apr is better and if you could help. Thanks

Hi Martin, if we can get you approved i'm reasonably positive that we can better the rate offered to you by approved car finance.

The hard part is obtaining the acceptance though as you can appreciate and we can't guarantee an approval at this stage without seeing your application. We do have many lenders on our panel though that help people with past credit issues.

If, after applying with us, we can't get you approved then ACF do have a good reputation and they provide good cars. Applying with us won't affect your approval with ACF at this stage either.

When you're ready please make an application and if approved we provide a no obligation quote and you can buy a car from any dealer in the UK. Kind Regards, Edwin

I have been approved with ACF car finance but the deal they gave me isn't very good. I applied to you and was wondering what the next step is as i've been provisionally approved with you?

What docs do you need to go further and do you arrange finance before i come to see you?

Hi Barry, please call our sales line on 0333 247 1247 to discuss the next steps if you have been provisionally approved with us.

We can usually offer better rates than ACF Car Finance. Once you have sent in the requested documents we need (driving licence, proof of address & proof of income) via email can then get a full approval in place for you.

As you're approved you can choose a car from any reputable dealer and we also provide a no obligation quote. Kind Regards, Edwin

ACF are terrible. 40+% APR, awful cars, you don't even get to see any cars before you've signed the paperwork? How does that work!!!!

Hi Chris, thank you for your question. ACF do have a reputation for higher rates but the cars they provide on the whole are very good from my experience in dealing with them and customers etc.

Have you been approved for car finance anywhere else? Have you tried us?

Hello, I am an existing ACF customer and i bought a car from ACF. I'm on my 30th month now for a 48 month contact. I was planning to upgrade my car but when i tried to call ACF it seems that their company has shut down recently.

Can you give me advice on this. Can i upgrade with you even if im still paying for my car? Many thanks

Hi Manny, thank you for your question.

Firstly, you can change your car. You'd need to get a settlement figure from ACF and then find out approximately what your car is worth (trade value). You could use or for a rough guide.

Hopefully you don't owe more than the car is worth. If approved with ourselves you'd simply locate a new car from a local reputable dealership and we'd send the funds for the new car to that dealer. They would be responsible for settling the existing finance agreement with ACF for you. Please keep making your payments to ACF for now - even though ACF Car Finance don't trade any more they are still collecting in their debts.

Please make an application with ourselves when you're ready and if approved you can choose a car from any reputable dealer and we also provide a no obligation quote. Kind Regards, Edwin
