New Driver With Bad Credit - Could i get a car loan?

Hi, I passed my driving test today and am looking for finance options available to people with bad credit.

I have an outstanding CCJ for a small amount (initially £546 but have paid off around half of it), but as far as I'm aware this is the only thing that goes against me, other than a lot of searches on my credit profile, most of which are from when I moved house for utilities etc.

I bring home £2300 net per month and may be able to get a small deposit together (say £500 - more would be a stretch with a baby on the way). Is it likely I'd be approved and if so how much for? Thank you

Hi Ben, thank you for your question and apologies for the delayed response. Congratulations on passing your test - do you have a full UK licence in your possession? We'd need this to give ourselves a better chance of getting you approved. If you have applied already for the licence it should be with you within 30 days.

As you have a healthy monthly income and a small deposit, we should be able to help. We work with a number of lenders who can approve people with bad credit, so this isn't necessarily an issue. If approved, £7000 to £8000 shouldn't be a problem as you earn £2300 p/month. Please make an application when you are ready. If approved, you can choose a car from any reputable dealership and we also provide a no obligation quote. Kind Regards, Edwin

Hi, i have recently passed my test and am looking at getting a loan to purchase a car as ideally need it to enable me to work longer hours.

I have a bad credit rating, mainly due to debts over 5 years ago however, i have recently got a mortgage and credit card and a loan for heating. I am managing these commitments fine and have been told that if I continue to do so my credit score will slowly go up.

I have no CCJ's but have an account regarded as delinquent from 2009. Could i still get a decent rate? I am looking at purchasing a car for £1600?

Hi Natasha, thank you for your question.

Firstly, congratulations on passing your test. We do indeed have lenders on our panel that help people with bad credit, so we should be able to help.

Please make an application and we'll see what we can do for you :) If approved, you can choose a car from any reputable dealership and we also provide a no obligation quote. Kind Regards, Edwin
