Can I Get Car Finance Without a Driving Licence?

Most of our lenders do require a full driving licence, however we do have finance options for people with provisional licences and even no licence. We can also help if you have only recently passed your driving test.
A number of lenders see having a full licence as a basic requirement when it comes to making an application for finance. They will therefore need a copy of your current UK or EU driving licence. This will also serve as photo ID which will help to confirm your identity.
If you do not hold a full current driving licence, it is likely to be more important than ever that you have a fair credit record and a reasonable deposit to put down as a down payment.
Although there are a few lenders who may be prepared to provide finance to someone without a driving licence, an alternative form of photo ID, such as your passport, will be needed.
We have finance options available for customers with credit histories from excellent to poor. Even if you have been declined for car finance elsewhere (such as from a bank, a car dealership or even another car finance broker), we still may able to help.
We can offer finance options for all vehicle types, not just cars but vans, motorbikes, horseboxes, motorhomes and caravans. In most cases, we don’t even need a deposit from you.
At CarFinance 247, we consider all personal circumstances (e.g. whether you are employed, self-employed or retired etc.), so why not use our car finance calculator to see how much you could borrow?
Finally, while we cannot guarantee car finance, we will always do our utmost to find you the most suitable deal.
