Looking for finance for a small diesel car under £4000

Hi, i am looking for a small 1.5 diesel engine car. Any make and any model, preferably a 5dr hatchback with aircon for under £4000. A low mileage car would be ideal.

Could you please tell me if you have any in stock. Thanks, Anil

Anil

Answer

Hi Anil, getting a small 5Dr Hatchback car with a diesel engine shouldn't be an issue at all as long as we can get you approved. How is your credit history? Do you have a full UK drivers licence and can you prove your income with payslips or bank statements? Lastly, are you on the electoral roll? (This isn't mandatory but can help).

Apologies for all the questions. If you meet the above then please make an application and once approved you can choose a car from any dealer and we also provide a no obligation quote. Kind Regards, Rachel

Hi! I wanted to ask if I can get car finance for a car that's worth £4000. I've got £500 deposit. I've been refused by a couple of companies before because of my credit score as I understand.

I'm not a Home-owner and I'm a private tenant. But i'm working full time for 3 years with same company on a contract. And what documents etc do I need to get approved by your company? Thank You.

Answer

Hi Russ, where have you applied online and been refused? This will help me inform you of whether we can help or not. If approved the £4000 shouldn't be a problem and the fact that you have a £500 deposit is great news.

If approved we'll need a copy of your driving licence, a proof of address (dated within the last 90 days), proof of income (latest payslip or bank statement) and proof of signature (passport). Kind Regards, Rachel

Hello Rachel, I located a car at a showroom and was advised that i had been accepted then only to get there i was told to increase my deposit or i can't take the car. I was very sad and felt like i was taken the mick out of. Would i get messed about like that?

Answer

Hi Victor - that can happen sometimes unfortunately but there's no reason why the dealer shouldn't have called you first. Do you have a deposit and what was the car you were looking at?

I want to get a car on finance. The car is £4000 and i wanted to put my car down as part exchange. My credit rating is 650 will i have a problem?

Answer

Hi Lisa, you shouldn't have any issues securing the amount you need as you have a fair score and the deposit (in your part exchange) will strengthen the application anyway. Please apply and provide me with your reference number - we'll then go from there. Thank you.

Hi, I had just been turned down for £4000 finance with close motor finance, yes my credit score isn't fantastic at around 620. I have several defaults that are 3 years old. I earn £1000 per month and have a £600 deposit ready!! Can I source my own vehicle or do I have to buy through this site? Thanks

Answer

Hi Hayley, we have more lenders that accept people that Close Motor Finance won't so i'm confident we could help. You have a decent income and a good deposit so please apply for the £4000 when you get 3-4 minutes. As the defaults you have are old i'm sure the lenders we deal with will give you a chance. Let me know your reference number when you have applied. Regards, Rachel

Hi Rachel, I have £1000 in my hand and I would like to finance a car. Is it possible that I could borrow £6000 from a company? My credit score is good. How much would I need to pay monthly? Thank you.

Answer

Hi Bobby, with £1000 deposit and a good credit history we should be able to get you the £6000 that you require with no issues. Please apply when you get a moment on our website. As i son;t know how long you wish to borrow the £6000 over i can't give you a monthly payment however, if you use the finance calculator on our site it will tell you :-)

Hi, im turning 18 in January i have a full time job ,but as im only just turning 18 i would have no credit rating, would i be able to get finance ? thanks

Answer

Hi James, It is possible to gain finance when you turn 18. It will help your chances if you get yourself registered on the electoral roll as soon as your turn 18. Similarly having a current account with your bank can help. Due to your age and lack of credit it will limit the amount of credit a company will be willing to lend (circa £4k). It may be worth seeing if you could find a guarantor to put on the application as this would strengthen your chances of an approval. Hope this helps - Rachel :)
