My advice to you would be to get on the voters roll as soon as you have a place to live (you can do this with your local council). My next piece of advice would be to open a UK registered bank account and get a contract mobile phone. You'll need the bank account first though.
Maybe try and get a small credit card with say a £500 limit on also from your bank and make sure you always pay at least the minimum payment each month to keep your credit profile looking healthy. A monthly direct debit usually stops people forgetting to make their payments.
All of the above will help you get on the right track with your credit history in the UK. However, it may take up to 3 years before you can get car finance unfortunately. I hope i've helped you out. For people reading this that have been in the UK for over 3 years then please apply here and once approved we provide a no obligation quote and you can buy a car from any dealer in the UK. Kind Regards, Rachel
