Ford Fiesta car finance with my wife as a joint app

Hi Rachel,

I am in the 2nd year of my IVA and currently in need of new car finance and was recently refused from another company.

I have been offered £1,000 for part exchange of my current car (Ford c-max) as I would like to upgrade to a new Ford Fiesta. Reason being I travel 1 hour to work so having a more efficient car for me and my family is necessary. I am in a stable job earning £21,000 per annum plus my wife has an income of £18,000 and never missed any payments from my previous agreement.

Please would you be able to advise me whether me and my wife would be accepted on a joint application?

Answer

Hi Alex,

As we have access to the vast majority of car loan lenders in the UK we are in the position of dealing with a handful that help people in IVA get car finance so there's a good chance we can help - especially as you have consent from your IP. As we work with a large panel of lenders, we are often able to help customers that have been refused elsewhere with finance, so we may well be able to help you.

Your deposit towards the agreement will also benefit your application, don’t forget that if you get accepted for a HP agreement the new Fiesta will need to be from a reputable dealership in the UK. Can you and your wife provide your income from the previous 3 months?

make an application when you're ready. Rachel
